Citrus Park sits between Carrollwood and Westchase and has several popular attractions. When looking for things to do in 33556, 33624 and 33625, you’ll find the Citrus Park Mall with several popular restaurant choices, Big Cat Rescue and more!
Carrollwood and Northdale
If you’re looking for a suburban area with easy access to downtown and Interstate 275, then Carrollwood and Northdale might have exactly what you want The neighborhoods include 33618, 33624 and 33612 (which also includes Forest Hills). In addition to beautiful tree-lined streets and great schools, the area also has great restaurants, parks and golf courses.
Ybor City includes one of the most vibrant arts and entertainment areas in all of Tampa, as well as apartments, townhomes and single-family homes. You can find all of this in the 33605, including the Centro Ybor area of shops and restaurants like the Tampa Brewing Co.
Just to the west of Ybor is downtown Tampa in 33602, where many are moving into new townhouses and condos. Downtown Tampa has Amalie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning and concerts throughout the year, the Florida Aquarium, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and many restaurants such as Jackson’s Bistro and Ulele. The University of Tampa is just across the Hillsborough River in 33606.
South Tampa and Davis Islands
The 33606 also has some of the most upscale homes in Tampa, particularly along Bayshore Boulevard. Downtown and Ybor City are a short drive away. Neighborhoods include Hyde Park, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. David Islands, which is located across a bridge, is located at the north end of Tampa Bay. Other South Tampa zip codes include 33629 (Palma Ceia), 33611 (Ballast Point), 33616 (Port Tampa City) and 33609 (which includes Westshore Palms, Beach Park and a Trader Joe’s!).
Just east of 33614, which includes Al Lopez Park and Oak Grove, lies 33603, which includes south Seminole Heights and Riverside Heights. This neighborhood, which is attracting many young professionals, is close to downtown and offers places such as the Independent Bar and Cafe, Cappy’s Pizzeria and the Blind Tiger Cafe.
North of this, in 33604, is Seminole Heights and Old Seminole Heights. This area includes the Lowry Park Zoo, The Refinery restaurant and a Tampa classic, Bo’s Ice Cream.
This area offers some of the nicest suburban communities in the city. New Tampa is in the 33647 and offers great restaurants, some of the best schools in the city, convenient shopping and a quick drive to Wiregrass Mall and Tampa Premium Outlets just up the road.
